1.General knowledge courses
Objective: to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary for successful studies, professional practice, and communication, as well as to foster an understanding of workplace safety, the use of technology, and the environment.

2. Professional study courses
Objective: to provide in-depth professional knowledge and practical skills in the automotive and technical service sector, ensuring that students are able to design, analyze, maintain, and manage technical processes in accordance with industry standards, technological advancements, and the principles of sustainable development.

3.Free elective courses
Objective: To expand students’ professional competencies in accordance with their individual interests and areas of specialization in the fields of technical operation, diagnostics, safety, and repair of motor vehicles, thereby promoting flexibility and competitiveness in the labour market.
Courses:
• Technical Maintenance of Motor Vehicles and Traffic Safety – 3 ECTS;
• Electronic Control Systems in Vehicle – 3 ECTS;
• Body Repair – 3 ECTS;
• Automotive Diagnostics – 3 ECTS.
Internships are designed to closely resemble the requirements of the final thesis project, so that students can reinforce what they have learned during their studies and gather data for their own final thesis. Given that the internships take place in the fourth and fifth semesters, the internship site often becomes the student’s future workplace.
Internships included in the study programme:
1. Qualification Internship I (6 weeks):
• gain basic knowledge of the organization and structure of a car service center, become familiar with technical processes and workplace specifications in a car service center, learn the principles of customer service and communication in a car service center, and acquire basic skills and knowledge regarding vehicle diagnostics and maintenance;
• internship duration: 4th semester, full-time studies.
2. Qualification Internship II (10 weeks):
• students improve the specific skills and knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair acquired in the previous internship, participate in more complex repair work and technical projects, learn to plan and organize work at the auto service center by participating in management decision-making, improve customer service skills and contribute to enhancing the quality of car service center services;
• internship duration: 5th semester, full-time studies.
The internship can be completed in any region of Latvia by selecting a suitable auto service center, allowing students to choose an internship location close to their place of residence. Students take advantage of the opportunity to complete their internship in both the heavy-duty vehicle sector and at passenger car service centers, such as Volvo Truck Latvia, Auto SDL, Autocentrs Salinieki, Ripo serviss, and other companies.
